The Student Health Services Office at SUNY Cortland invites applications for a temporary part-time position to serve as assistant to our Student Health Services Office for various covid related issues including making phone calls, answering calls and communicating with staff regarding quarantine and isolation information. Major Responsibilities
  • Directly contacting (via phone) students to provide COVID -19 test results information
  • Explaining isolation protocols to students when they have been identified as positive for COVID -19
  • Basic contact tracing efforts, to include:
  • Collecting names and contact information for any immediate close contacts of students identified as positive for COVID -19
  • Contacting those identified as immediate close contacts and collecting necessary information to determine next steps
  • Communicating with staff in Quarantine/Isolation (Q/I) housing regarding students needing relocation to Q/I housing area(s).
  • Providing necessary notifications and updates to other offices or areas as appropriately needed
Functional and Supervisory Relationships Required Qualifications
  • Good communication skills
  • Attention to Detail




Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Experience in areas such as medical/health services; or emergency management
