William & Mary is seeking a dynamic, high performing Associate Dean of Advancement for the Raymond A. Mason Business School and CEO of the W&M Business School Foundation. The Associate Dean will collaborate with the Mason School’s leadership, its committed staff, dedicated faculty and an engaged Foundation Board to leverage the Mason School's many assets and make positive connections with key private and institutional donors and corporations that support the Foundation’s mission.

The Associate Dean of Advancement serves as the leader and central executor for all advancement activity for the benefit of William & Mary’s Mason School in building a culture of engagement and philanthropy. The position reports jointly to the dean of the Mason School of Business and the associate vice president for university advancement/chief development officer.

The Associate Dean serves as the chief fundraiser for the business school and serves as a strategic partner for the dean, working personally and closely on a daily basis to coordinate and support the dean's and the school's fundraising efforts. The successful candidate is responsible for cultivating, soliciting and stewarding gifts from top prospects, alumni, individuals and corporate sponsors for $100,000 + for fundraising needs specifically for the school.

The Associate Dean will continue the tradition of a best-in-class program and will utilize all of the tools of the modern fundraising operation in pursuit of greater levels of philanthropic investment. Success in this endeavor requires a leader with significant and sophisticated knowledge and experience across the development enterprise. The Associate Dean will demonstrate a track record as a leader of one or more enterprises of significant complexity demonstrating outstanding growth and transformation. A personal track record raising major or principal gifts, and experience planning or leading major comprehensive campaigns. Of greatest import is a leader who resonates with and can speak passionately on behalf of the mission and values of the Mason School and its place in our nation's history.
