Job Summary
Thomas R. Kline School of Law is seeking to hire an assistant or associate teaching professor who will also serve as the Director for its new center focused on law and technology. The mission of the center is to advance the international, multi-disciplinary exploration of the intersection of law and technology; to catalyze research and innovative programming on the evolving convergence of law and technology; and to grow and support a community of thought leaders focused on these issues. The center embraces a wide-variety of topics, disciplines and perspectives to advance these goals.
Essential Functions
The faculty member and director will teach at least three courses each academic year. In addition, the faculty member and director will partner with the dean to develop priorities and strategic direction, oversee and administer the launch of the center, engage stakeholders, and develop and implement programming. This position will report to the Dean of the Law School.
Required Qualifications
Law Degree, Juris Doctorate
Required Experience
A minimum two year of four (4) years’ experience on one or more issues at the intersection of law and technology; a minimum two year of university-level teaching experience
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with program management
