The Department of Foreign Language Studies at Providence College invites applications for a Visiting Assistant Professor position in Spanish for Spring 2022. Essential Duties
We seek to hire a candidate with an expertise in Modern and Contemporary Peninsular literature and cultures with an interest in Transatlantic Studies. The successful candidate will have a demonstrated commitment to and/or experience with engaging diverse students in the classroom and be willing to teach a wide range of Spanish language, culture, and literature courses at all levels. The teaching load for this position is four courses per semester. Service to the department is expected. Education and Experience Required
A Ph.D. in Spanish from an accredited institution by the time of the appointment; record of and commitment to scholarly research and publication; proof of teaching experience at various levels; native or near-native fluency and cultural competency are essential.
