Job Summary

The Coordinator of Student Centers and Engagement will be part of the Student Life team and will report to the Assistant Director for Student Centers and Engagement. The primary responsibility of this position is to execute the programmatic experience for students at Drexel University. The Coordinator will be responsible for managing the professional and student staff required for programmatic initiatives, and will assist in the communication strategy for the department.

This position does require night and weekend responsibilities.

Essential Functions
  • Work with Campus Engagement team to execute programmatic initiatives, including but not limited to late night and weekend events.
  • Participate in the Campus Engagement team as a Campus Engagement contact, which is charged with providing holistic support for the students and student organizations’ involvement on campus.
  • Manage staffing requirements for professional and student staff at Campus Engagement events.
  • Act as the point of contact for student organization programming.
  • Assist with the departmental efforts with Welcome Week programming.
  • Support the campus-wide Involvement Fair.
  • Work in collaboration with SAFAC, Office of General Counsel, Office of Risk Management, Fraternity and Sorority Life, Student Center for Diversity and Inclusion, Campus Recreation, the Center for Black Culture, and other campus partners in the management of resources and events hosted through the student organizations.
  • Represent and advocate for students across the University and within Student Life
  • Participate in Student Life initiatives, functions, and committees.
  • Fulfill other duties as assigned by the Assistant Director for Student Centers and Engagement.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Candidates must have proven collaboration skills; well-developed interpersonal skills; strong oral and written communication and organization skills; an understanding of the needs of student leaders and student organizations; and a commitment to working with a diverse student population in an urban environment.
  • Proficiency with Excel, Word, databases, and PowerPoint and related software is necessary.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master’s degree preferred in College Student Personnel, Higher Education Administration
