Schedule: Part - Time, 10 hours per week, M-F 8-5

Position Overview:

Office of High-Impact Practices, Academic Affairs, manages undergraduate research programs and national scholarship opportunities for UCO students. Our programs include the Research, Creative, and Scholarly Grant Program, the Undergraduate Research Abroad Grant Program, Student Travel Presentation Grants, and 1890: A Journal of Undergraduate Research. OHIP coordinates participation in Oklahoma Research Day, the National Conference on Undergraduate Research, Research Day at the Oklahoma State Capitol, and Posters on the Hill. The office also promotes and facilitates student scholarship programs including the Jones Harris Endowed Public Service Scholarship, Truman Scholars, Marshall Scholarships, and Fulbright US Student Programs.

Department Specific Essential Job Functions:

Perform computer and customer service related duties in an office setting. Typical duties may include but are not limited to: typing, filing, answering telephones, customer service, developing marketing materials, scheduling appointments, and Microsoft Office experience.

Assist with planning workshops and information sessions for OHIP events and conferences, assist with developing marketing materials for programs and workshops, creating social media content to advertise programs and workshops, assisting with communication to students and faculty, using Excel spreadsheets to track student registrants.

Qualifications

Qualifications Required:

Performs administrative or manual tasks. Typically requires general education or vocational training or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Have sensitivity of intercultural communication, and good interpersonal skills
