· Bachelor’s degree;
· 1 year of experience implementing, using or supporting success systems. Preferred qualifications:
Preference will be given to individuals who possess :

  • Master’s degree
  • Experience with Starfish/ EAB or other student success systems
  • Experience with Handshake or other career services systems
  • Technical experience with enterprise level, multi-user applications
  • Experience with college advising and degree planning
  • Experience with college persistence/retention initiatives
  • Experience with college career services
  • Knowledge of student services business practices
  • Project planning experience
  • Strong communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain a professional working relationship with a wide variety of individuals coming from diverse backgrounds
  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office proficiency, familiarity with web delivery tools
  • Experience utilizing systems to generate reports for end users and administration
Work Hours
Normally scheduled Monday through Friday; however, may be required to work other shifts to include evenings and/or weekends. Schedule subject to change based upon department needs. Compensation $52,472 Special Instructions to Applicants

Incumbents configure, set-up, test, and document various student success systems for assigned functional areas, analyze and implement technological solutions to improve business processes, and provide trainings and support to end users. Typical Essential Duties
· Develops, coordinates, and performs software testing; enters/extracts information into/from and maintains software systems; designs and updates queries; implements software modifications; tests business process improvement after changes to software systems and applications have been implemented; and ensures system integrity.

· Researches and analyzes new software systems and technologies, as well as current and new business processes to improve performance, data quality, and ensure operational efficiency.

· Communicates with and provides general and technical support and training to end users on new system and other business processes; work may involve answering questions; and diagnosing and troubleshooting software problems, to include analyzing data requirements, researching data availability, implementing access methods; and developing and implementing solutions utilizing alternative methods and procedures.

· Prepares, updates, and maintains general and technical reports and records; product, process, and training documentation; process calendars; and other documentation and materials; work may involve utilizing online systems and databases; researching, compiling, and analyzing complex information; and making and implementing recommendations based on findings.

· Serves as a liaison and coordinates with end users, staff, the IT department, and other internal and external personnel, departments, and agencies to troubleshoot issues, communicate general and technical information, and facilitate assigned and other departmental operations.

Knowledge

· Basic knowledge of student success systems, higher education advising and career services practices;
· Working knowledge of running existing queries using PS Query tool or SQL ;
· Knowledge of principles, practices, protocols and methods of institutional computing applications;
· Knowledge of principles, practices and techniques of facilitating process analysis;
· Knowledge of methods and techniques of collecting, analyzing and interpreting business processes;
· Knowledge of principles, practices and methods of business process reengineering;
· Knowledge of principles and applications of critical thinking and analysis;
· Knowledge of best practices, trends and emerging technologies;
· Knowledge of principles and methods of qualitative and quantitative research;
· Knowledge of applicable federal, state and local laws, codes, regulations (based on assignment);
· Knowledge of customer service principles;
· Knowledge of modern office technology; Skills
· Skilled in diagnosing problems, determining business issues and developing and implementing solutions;
· Skilled in documenting process workflow and analyzing complex data;
· Skilled in assessing needs and identifying solutions;
· Skilled in reading, analyzing, evaluating, interpreting and summarizing written materials and statistical data;
· Skilled in researching industry trends, solutions and best practices;
· Skilled in compiling, sorting and articulating issues and recommendations;
· Skilled in gathering data, analyzing findings and applying logic and reason;
· Skilled in business math computations;
· Skilled in interpreting and applying applicable laws, codes, regulations and standards (based on assignment)
· Skilled in providing customer service

Positions in this class typically require: feeling, grasping, hearing, fingering, reaching, repetitive motion, standing, talking, visual acuity, and walking.
