Position Summary:

Works directly with principal investigator(s) and/or research program director(s) to carry out research administrative functions related sponsored grants, agreements, or award management (proposal preparation through closeout).

Degree and Area of Specialization:

Bachelor's degree required. Bachelor's degree in health administration, biological sciences, social sciences, business, or related field is preferred.

Minimum Years and Type of Relevant Work Experience:

- Previous experience in research and grant activities is required.
- Experience preferably in medical, research, or educational setting.
- Knowledge of NIH and other federal and university regulations for the conduct of research preferred.
- Grant administration experience preferred.
- Three years of substantial involvement or familiarity in research, sponsored programs administration either in a sponsoring or recipient organization, or the equivalent in a self-funding organization is preferred.

Prefix assignment determined by years of relevant work experience. A minimum of 7 years of experience is required for an appointment at the senior level.

Additional Information:

- Ability to manage many detailed projects simultaneously under tight deadlines
- Must have strong analytical skills and possess the ability to write and communicate effectively.
- Strong computer skills, especially with Microsoft software.
- Ability and interest in working in a positive team-focused environment.
