Job Summary/Basic Function:
Wheaton College, an NCAA Division III institution located in Norton, Massachusetts, is looking for a motivated, energetic, passionate and caring individual to lead our men’s and women’s diving programs. The Diving Coach will work with the head coach in helping to teach the skills necessary for a successful athletics program. The successful candidate will assist in organizing and conducting individual student-athlete workouts, team practices, and meet preparations, and judging during competitions. The Diving Coach will evaluate and recruit qualified prospective student-athletes, and assist in the development of a team recruitment plan. It is imperative that the Diving Coach comply with all NCAA, NEWMAC and Wheaton College rules and regulations and help to ensure all student-athletes do the same. Travel locally, regionally and nationally to find prospective student-athletes. Be able to transport team by van as needed.
Minimum Qualifications:

Master’s degree, collegiate diving experience, and 3-5 years of head coaching experience preferred.
Physical Demands
Individual must possess the skills and abilities or be able to teach and demonstrate all aspects of the sport they are coaching. The candidate must be able to work independently and have the ability to work evenings and weekends. Individuals must possess the knowledge, skills and abilities or be able to explain and demonstrate that the individual can perform the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation, using some other combination of skills and abilities.

- Bachelor’s Degree in related field and 1-3 years of collegiate coaching experience required, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Valid Driver’s License.
- Ability to work independently.
- Ability to work evenings and weekends throughout the year to accomplish the tasks necessary for success in this field.
- Commitment to working and teaching within an environment that embraces the development of students around their education, cultural diversity, mental health awareness and healthy masculinity.
