The College of Education welcomes candidates for an Accreditation and Assessment Manager to manage all program accreditation, data, and assessment reporting mandated by internal and external entities. The salary range for the position is 45K-51K
Accreditation and Assessment Manager
- Manages the Specialized Professional Associations ( SPA ) and Council for the Accreditation of Educator Preparation ( CAEP ) processes for the College of Education and program improvement processes for non-certified programs.
- Serves as the data collection and analysis expert for the College of Education. Liaison to AUM Office of Institutional Effectiveness ( OIE ).
- Prepares accreditation reports for the College of Education to be submitted to the federal and state departments of education. Works with OIE to complete annual program reports and data collection for SACSCOC .
- Represents the college at fall and spring CAEP conferences.
- Manages accreditation and data-related communications with CAEP and the Alabama State Department of Education in collaboration with the Dean of the College of Education.
- Collaborates with and support department and college faculty on individual accreditation and assessment responsibilities. Prepares annual program data review documents for each program and assists with data analysis for program improvement.
- Maintains responsibility for gathering and compiling other data
requested from the federal and state departments of
education.
- Maintains the responsibility for preparing for all CAEP
accreditation site visits.
- Expert knowledge of program/project management practices
- Knowledge of college accreditation and assessment practices
- Knowledge of applicable university practices and procedures
- Knowledge of applicable state and federal rules and regulations
- Knowledge of budgeting principles and practices
- Ability to speak in public, lead small group meetings, and make presentations

Successful candidate will possess a Bachelor’s degree (a Master’s degree is strongly preferred). Five (5) years of college/university accreditation experience or five (5) years of experience in data management and analysis is required. Additional education in a related field may be substituted for experience. Candidate must possess 3 years of directly related experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master’s degree from an accredited institution in education, counseling, psychology and/or related appropriate field.
- K-12 teaching license and experience is preferred.
