Job Summary
Teach ASL class(es) including ASL 1 – 4, Fingerspelling, Introduction to the Deaf Community, ASL Linguistics, and/or ASL Literature. Classes will likely be offered during evening hours.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree and ASLTA Certification or Master's Degree in an ASL related degree (ASL and/or Deaf Studies, Teaching of ASL or ASL Teaching, Sign Language Education, ASL/English Interpreting, or Deaf Education)
Self-Starter, strong interpersonal skills and a demonstrated understanding of adult learning
At least 2 years of teaching experience at educational settings
Preferred Qualifications
Master's degree preferred
Previous community college teaching experience preferred
Familiarity and experience with Vista's Signing Naturally Curriculum
Familiarity and experience with Online, Online Hybrid, or Hybrid courses
Familiarity and experience with Learning Management System software such as Canvas
