Purpose of Position
Provide administrative support to the graduate accelerated online programs and the College of Education’s Advising Center. Primary Responsibilities
Provide administrative support to the Associate Dean (who oversees accelerated online programs) and the College of Education Advising Center. Checking students in for advising appointments, answering phone calls, emails, and walk-in inquiries; supply accurate program information to prospective and current students. Assist with the admissions processing for applicants in the College of Education’s graduate and accelerated online programs, as needed. Monitor progress of and maintain accurate records of current students. Maintain necessary data and records for CAEP accreditation and assure compliance with the Kentucky Department of Education ( EPSB ) requirements. Assist with the coordination of field and clinical experience placements in P-12 schools and other educational settings for students in the alternative certification programs, as needed. Other duties and responsibilities as needed. Qualifications
Training/education beyond high school preferred (two- or four- year college/university., plus at least two years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience. Requires the ability to use Microsoft Office Suites proficiently (e.g., MS Work, Excel, Outlook, and Powerpoint). Proficiency with spreadsheet, database, and course management software required. Competent in office management as well as strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication (oral and written) skills are necessary. Also requires outstanding customer service skills, strong attention to detail, and ability to handle multiple tasks with minimal supervision. Must be adaptable to change and willing to embrace new technology. Prefer myNKU/ SAP experience.
