Purpose of Position
This position in the Office of Student Financial Assistance coordinates the administration of athletic financial aid to ensure compliance with NCAA regulations.
The incumbent acts as liaison for the Office of Student Financial Assistance with student-athletes, the Office of Intercollegiate Athletics, the Office of the Registrar and Student Account Services. As a Coordinator, the incumbent will also provide advising to students and parents on the availability of federal, state and institutional aid programs. This includes assisting students from the application process to the delivery of aid.
This position will also work with university offices to resolve student issues while delivering exceptional service to students, parents and the university community. Primary Responsibilities
The following are primary responsibilities:
1. Deliver exceptional service in person, on the telephone and via email to students, parents, and the university community.
2. Serve as lead point of contact for athletic financial aid processing and specified student populations.
3. Assist in leading, managing and supervising daily One-Stop Center functions (monitor telephone and email activity to ensure adequate coverage).
4. Present financial aid information to small and large groups to support recruitment initiatives at on and off-campus events.
5. Interpret and adhere to federal, state and institutional financial aid rules and regulations.
6. Process dependency appeals, professional judgement and budget adjustments.
7. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree and two years of professional experience in financial aid or related field is required. An equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.

Applicants must possess high levels of organizational, customer service skills, and seamless ability to work with individuals from diverse backgrounds. Excellent verbal, telephone communication and interpersonal skills are necessary. Must have exceptional attention to detail and ability to multi-task successfully within multiple deadlines. Demonstrated ability to work independently, anticipate needs, and work as part of a team. Must be proficient in Microsoft Office, including Access, Excel, and Word.
