Williams is pleased to announce the opening for the Associate Director of Employer Relations! We are seeking a dynamic, independent, and motivated professional to join our Operations & External Relations team to manage all aspects of employer partnerships and recruitment strategies. This individual will work closely with career center colleagues to build and execute a strategic employer cultivation and maintenance plan. With goal-oriented relationship building at its core, this role will oversee our employer partnerships with the support and supervision of the ‘68 Center Employer Relations Assistant as well.

Responsibilities
  • Manage the ‘68 Center recruiting program including employer information sessions, interview schedules, meetups, and collecting employer feedback.
  • Expand and develop job and internship opportunities for students through outreach to employers, alumni, parents and other constituent groups.
  • Work closely with employers to identify their needs and recommend best-practice recruiting options.
  • Consult and collaborate with Career Center colleagues to share industry trends, employer information, and identify potential recruiting partners within each Career Community.
  • Ensure that employer events are marketed across campus through appropriate channels by working with Career Center colleagues and working closely with the Communications & Events Coordinator.
  • Maintain records and report on the statistics of recruiting activities and employer contacts.
  • Provide direct supervision for a full-time Employer Relations Assistant & ‘68 Center Coordinator and part-time student Recruiting Assistants.
  • Manage Handshake, the office recruiting management system. Oversee the posting of job descriptions and other relevant information, and coordinating sign-up procedures and deadlines for students participating in the recruiting program and other related activities. Attend users conference, and stay abreast of the latest vendor updates and functionality.
  • Actively represent the college and its students to prospective employers. Seek opportunities from a highly diversified range of student industry interests. Deliver the highest level of customer service for employers.
  • Collaborate with and follow up on OCR/Senior Development Officer sourced alumni internship and job introductions.
  • Manage and maintain EphLink Opportunities which includes Job, Internship & Projects postings.
  • Participate in many other Career Center activities as needed.
This is a full-time, year-round, regular appointment. Some evening and weekend hours are required during recruiting seasons, this may include travel to employer sites and professional conferences.


Qualifications
  • A Bachelor’s degree (Master’s preferred) with an emphasis on higher education, student affairs, human resource management, marketing, or similar fields is required.
  • At least 5 years of relevant experience including experience related to recruiting or career development in a related business, sales or career center setting
  • Demonstrated experience supervising or directing staff and managing events; excellent interpersonal skills; strong customer service, organization and written and oral communication skills.
  • Must be able to work collaboratively and establish relationships with students, faculty, administrators, alumni, families, and employers, in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  • Cultural Competence: Experience relating well to people from diverse backgrounds; sensitivity to group differences; demonstrated understanding of DEI issues.
  • Demonstrated experience utilizing data to set, meet, and surpass goals
  • Familiarity with career service management systems- specifically Handshake - is preferred.
