Researcher 1 Nat Phys Science - (STA008081)

Position will be responsible for managing and assisting in the hiring process of a team of weather balloon launchers to conduct weather balloon launches at the DOE site at the La Porte, TX airport in support of the TRACER campaign. Launches will occur every 6 hours for a full year. The candidate will also participate in the balloon launches as well as assist in training the hiring team. In the spring of 2022 the candidate will be responsible for assisting in the hiring of additional team members to launch weather balloons from Guy, TX as well as additional team members to support enhanced launches in La Porte from June-September 2022. A background in meteorology and prior weather balloon launch experience is highly desirable.
