Summary of Job Duties:•tPerform daily general office duties such as preparing and routing paperwork, filing, copying, emails, answering phone, routing calls, opening and distributing mail, and greeting visitors;
•tAssist Payroll and Human Resources with projects as needed;
•tRespond to inquiries from students, staff, faculty, and the public, and direct inquirers;
•tCommunicate respectfully, professionally, and accurately to internal and external clients and maintain confidentially;
•tAnswer telephone promptly using prescribed telephone etiquette and greeting;
•tTake accurate messages for staff;
•tRespond to inquiries and requests for information;
•tManage the department office equipment and office supplies;
•tPerform inventory management tasks;
•tPurchase office supplies and computer equipment;
•tPossess excellent written and verbal communication skills;
•tPerform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Minimum qualifications include a formal education equivalent of a high school diploma for each position. Administrative Specialist II requires two years of experience in a specialized or related area applicable to work performed. Administrative Specialist III requires one year of specialized training in business management, business education, or a related field; plus three years of experience in specialized or a related field applicable to work performed. With proper approval, other job related education and/or experience may be substituted for all or part of these basic requirements.
