JOB SUMMARY: The Technology Integration Specialist will support integration of computing and learning technologies in classrooms, studios, and training spaces.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
  • Work with faculty and staff to ensure the effective design, selection, integration, and performance of technologies in learning and meeting spaces.
  • Collaborate with the ITS department on all new academic technology initiatives that use network and central computing services.
  • Assemble, install, configure, and maintain computing and learning technologies in academic spaces.
  • Manage the ongoing maintenance and support of computer operating system and software applications used in academic spaces following the established and agreed upon technology standards and policies applicable to the entire campus.
  • Research and remain current in relevant technologies and strategies.
  • Ensure that classroom technologies are integrated into the overall classroom technology ecosystem.
  • Develop and maintain regular software and maintenance cycles that align with academic semesters.
  • Install and configure desktop software.
  • Assist users with questions/problems with computing and classroom technologies.
  • Analyze, diagnose, and resolve computing and learning technology issues for users.
  • Utilize web-based help desk application to initiate, track, and complete work requests and other projects.
  • Assist with the organization and operation of the learning technology resource center.
  • Research and make recommendations for hardware and software technology solutions consistent with department's scope and mission.
  • Demonstrate flexibility and adaptability to changing work scope and tasks based on need.
  • Actively work towards building cooperative and collaborative relationships with peers and internal faculty and staff.
  • Completes other tasks as assigned.


Required Qualifications:
QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
  • Experience with the use and management of audio/visual, desktop computing, laptops, and peripherals
  • Training or related experience with current desktop operating systems
  • Knowledge and/or relevant experience with managing Microsoft Windows
  • Must have a keen interest in exploring technology-based solutions in support of remote instruction and online course management


QUALIFICATIONS PREFERRED:
  • Associates degree or equivalent credit hours in business, computer science, or related field.
  • Experience with online learning technologies.
  • Training or equivalent experience in computer networking systems.
  • Experience working in an educational setting.
PHYSICALREQUIREMENTS:
  • Must be able to lift 30 to 40 lbs. and be comfortable standing on ladders when needed.
  • Enjoys working with experienced staff to learn and grow in deploying technology-based solutions balanced with independent work that requires no direct supervision



Salary Schedule:
Salary Band: P170
Salary will be competitive and commensurate with qualifications and experience. Position includes faculty rank and full benefits package.
