Assistant or Associate Professor WOT, Department of Pediatrics, Division of Hematology/Oncology

The Division of Hematology/Oncology, Department of Pediatrics, at the University of Washington is recruiting a full-time faculty member at the Assistant Professor or Associate Professor level, without tenure due to funding (WOT) on the Clinician-Scholar track, commensurate with experience and qualifications. This position would have an annual service period of 12 months [July 1-June 30]. Anticipated start date is Winter 2021/2022.

The successful candidate will engage in the clinical care of children, adolescents and young adult cancer survivors. This will include taking on a leadership role as Medical Director of Seattle Children’s longstanding Cancer Survivor Program, and participating in joint activities with the overall Seattle Children’s, University of Washington, and Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center’s Survivorship Program. The successful candidate will also have opportunities to develop their own research niche within the survivorship program and further advance survivorship care alongside a talented multidisciplinary team at Seattle Children’s Hospital, the Seattle Children’s Research Institute and the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center. The candidate will also contribute to clinical care as part of an active oncology care team (e.g., leukemia/lymphoma, solid tumor, neuro-oncology) at Seattle Children’s Hospital.

All University of Washington faculty engage in teaching, research, and service.

Applicants must have an MD or DO degree (or foreign equivalent), be board certified or board eligible in Pediatric Hematology/Oncology. Applicants must have completed a pediatric residency and a pediatric hematology/oncology fellowship.

In order to be eligible for University sponsorship for an H-1B visa, graduates of foreign (non-U.S.) medical schools must show successful completion of all three steps of the U.S. Medical Licensing Exam (USMLE) or equivalent as determined by the Secretary of Health and Human Services.
