Position Summary:

The Department of Modern and Classical Languages at Saint Joseph’s University in Philadelphia, PA is recruiting a tenure-track Assistant Professor of Spanish. 

Duties and Responsibilities:

The Department of Modern and Classical Languages at Saint Joseph’s University in Philadelphia, PA is recruiting a tenure-track Assistant Professor of Spanish. This position involves teaching Spanish courses at all levels from the beginning level through Conversation, Composition, and Latin American Cultural Studies and/or Literature; teaching Spanish for the Professions; developing service-learning courses, supervising internships, and mentoring students; contributing to the continued development of the Department; and maintaining an active program of scholarly productivity and publication.  St. Joseph’s University seeks to recruit, develop & retain a talented & diverse workforce. Minimum Requirements:

Ph.D. or All But Dissertation (ABD), or foreign equivalent, in Hispanic Literature and Linguistics; Latin American Cultural Studies and/or Literature; or a closely related field; must have potential for a strong research program; and have quality or potential quality in teaching. (No specific minimum experience required).
