Job Summary

Auburn Athletics is seeking candidates for the position of Assistant Sports Dietitian I/II/ III . Reporting to the Director of Sports Nutrition, the successful candidate will assist with overseeing the sports nutrition program for student-athletes and the management of the Wellness Kitchen dining facility.

Essential Functions

Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

• Performs dietary assessments and counseling to student-athletes for all varsity sports.
• Assists in the management of the Wellness Kitchen dining facility.
• Performs nutrition education talks and demonstrations to teams. Performs and analyzes body composition assessments of student-athletes.
• Evaluates the use of dietary supplements by student athletes. Plans travel nutrition and pre-game menus.
• Conducts tours of off campus locations that specialize in student-athlete nutrition programs.
• May coordinate and oversee student volunteer sports nutrition programs.
• Complies with all applicable National Collegiate Athletic Association ( NCAA ) and Southeastern Conference ( SEC ) regulations in the performance of job duties.

Education Level

Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution

Nutrition or related field.

Level II requires a Bachelor’s degree and 2 years of experience in assisting, advising, or administering a college sports nutrition program.

Level III requires a Bachelor’s degree and 4 years of experience in assisting, advising, or administering a college sports nutrition program.
