The primary responsibilities for the Part-time Housekeeping Supervisor (2nd Shift) is to perform as a member of the University Student Commons & Activities ( USC &A) housekeeping staff, perform regular shift cleaning and supervision duties, specific projects and responsibilities may be assigned at any of USC &A locations. Other duties are to ensure each day that the assigned USC &A facility and surrounding outside areas maintain a clean condition in compliance with USC &A Performance Standards and the highest industry standards through individual work and contributing efforts as part of the overall housekeeping team. This position will provide leadership, supervision, and direction to assigned housekeeping staff to ensure the cleanliness of USC &A facilities. Required Qualifications
The Part-Time Housekeeping Supervisor (2nd shift) position involves working Friday, Saturday, and Sunday evenings as well as flexible hours for special events. This position requires housekeeping experience, knowledge, and training in the operation of floor care and power cleaning equipment, such as stripping, waxing, floor buffers, and vacuums. This position must have the ability to work with established guidelines (work independently as well as part of a team). Must have the ability to read, hear and follow spoken/written instructions. Knowledge of safety practices in the use of cleaning chemicals and supplies is essential. Must have the ability to complete reports with written descriptions of completed work during a shift. Must have the ability to disseminate instructions to the evening Housekeeping staff. Must have the ability to evaluate the work of personnel and to communicate effectively both orally and in writing. Applicant must be able to routinely lift, push, or pull 20 ponds and occasionally lift, push, or pull up to 50 pounds. Must have the ability to kneel, stoop, bend over, climb, and walk for extended periods of time as required to perform work assignments. Must have the ability to work in a diverse environment.

This position is considered essential personnel for inclement weather and emergency conditions. Preferred Qualifications
Hands on experience in a day to day housekeeping operations of a school or institution type setting is preferred. Experience with tracking and distributing inventory of supplies/equipment. Experience being a working supervisor alongside the rest of the housekeeping staff.
