Post Doctoral Fellow Position

Department of Psychiatry, Maryland Psychiatric Research Center

University of Maryland School of Medicine

We seek a highly motivated postdoctoral fellow to develop and apply quantitative methods to understand the underlying patterns of neuroimaging-genetics associated with neuropsychiatric disorders. The main research areas will include: (1) multi-modal imaging data analysis; (2) GWAS; (3) genetics, imaging, brain disorder mediation analysis; and (4) graph based deep learning to explain phenotypic variance. The Postdoctoral Fellow will work under the joint supervision of Dr. Shuo Chen ( https://www.umdbright.com/ ). The candidates will be supported by a strong collaborative team who are world-known experts in multimodal brain imaging and genetics for neuropsychiatric research and have access to the large-sample imaging-genetics data (both preprocessed and raw) from the consortiums including ENIGMA, HCP, ABCD, and UK Biobank. The position will be held in the University of Maryland School of Medicine.

The candidate should hold a Ph.D. degree in a quantitative field, such as statistics, biostatistics, bioinformatics, computational biology, human genetics, computer science, or a closely related area. Candidates with an interest in imaging and/or genetics data analysis and machine learning are preferred. Candidates with strong computational skills (proficient in one of the programming languages R, Matlab, and Python and experience with the high-performance cluster) are especially encouraged to apply.

Interested applicants should submit a detailed C.V., and contact information of two (2) references to:
