Job Description:

The W. Fielding Rubel School of Business at Bellarmine University invites applications for a position in the Department of Accounting: Instructor of Accounting. The Rubel School of Business is accredited by AACSB.

The position will primarily teach Principles of Financial Accounting and/or Principles of Managerial Accounting courses.  Additional courses will depend on the experience and expertise of the instructor. We seek an individual who is student-centered and enjoys teaching, advising, and mentoring, as well as interested in working with the student accounting organization, Bellarmine University Accounting Association.  In alignment with Bellarmine University's commitment to equity and inclusion, we seek an individual dedicated to and invested in equity and inclusiveness.

Requirements:

  • Master's Degree in Accounting, Masters Degree with an Emphasis in Accounting, or a Masters of Taxation (with an undergraduate accounting degree). Graduate coursework must include at least eighteen (18) graduate accounting credits. A completed PhD. in Accounting also meets the requirements and PhD candidates at the ABD stage will be considered.
  • Public and/or corporate experience
  • CPA certification

Additional Preferred Qualifications:

  • Ability to teach upper division accounting coursework in any of the following areas is desirable:  Financial, Cost, Tax, and/or Systems.
