Position Summary
The University at Buffalo Department of Accounting & Law is seeking to fill a non-tenure track faculty position in the rank of Clinical Assistant/Associate Professor to begin Spring 2022. Primary duties include
· teaching financial fraud investigations, forensic accounting, and data analytics courses at the undergraduate and MS levels
· engaging with students in professional development activities
· engaging with accounting professionals who contribute to department activities.
The successful candidate will be expected to play a significant role in the development and delivery of education at the undergraduate and graduate levels, as well as being actively engaged with the accounting profession.
The profile and stature of the UB School of Management is on the rise. The school has been ranked by the Financial Times, Forbes, U.S. News & World Report and The Wall Street Journal for the quality of its programs and the return on investment it provides its graduates. This past year UB ranked as a top-40 MBA program by Bloomberg Businessweek. The Accounting department has a very competitive MS program. Student pass rates on the CPA exam are typically the highest among the ten largest programs in the state of New York. Approximately 90% of MS graduates have employment by the time they graduate.

Applicants for non-tenure track Clinical Assistant/Associate Professor: 1) must hold by fall term 2021 a graduate degree (doctorate or master) with concentration in Accounting and 2) must have significant amount of professional experience working in a CPA firm. Applicants for the position will play a significant role in the delivery and development of both the undergraduate and graduate curriculum and professional development of accounting students and be actively engaged in strengthening the department’s relationship with the accounting profession.
