Compensation and Benefits

Anticipated Hiring Salary: $3,352 per month

Full classification Salary Range: $3,352 - $5,639 per month

  • This is a full-time (equivalent to 40 hours per week), probationary, non-exempt position.


The CSU system provides a comprehensive benefit package that includes medical, dental and vision plans, membership in the California Public Employees Retirement System (CalPERS), sick and vacation time, and 14 paid holidays a year. Job Summary

Under the supervision of the Department Chair, the primary purpose of this position is to provide administrative support to the Department Chair, 17 full-time faculty, 23 part-time faculty and perform ongoing coordination and lead work direction to two support staff in the Nursing Department.

Education and Experience

  • A high school diploma, technical/vocational program, or their equivalents combined with several years of related office work experience.
  • Four years of recent progressive responsible clerical experience, which includes one year in a secretarial capacity with a wide variety of duties and responsibilities
  • Experience in office automation software including word processing, electronic spreadsheets, databases, the internet, e-mail software, and electronic calendars.




Department Summary

The School of Nursing is one of seven departments in the College of Health and Human Services and offers an undergraduate program which leads to the Bachelor of Science in Nursing, a postbaccalaureate School Nurse Services Credential Program, a graduate program leading to a Master of Science in Nursing, a Post-Master's Nurse Practitioner Credential Program and a Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) program.
