Job Summary
The Department of Chemistry in the College of Science at Purdue University invites applications
for a tenure-track faculty position at the Assistant Professor level in Experimental Physical
Chemistry. Successful candidates may have interests in any research area of experimental
physical chemistry, defined broadly.
Qualifications
Candidates must have a PhD in chemistry, or a related field, with outstanding credentials in
research, an excellent track record of or potential for leading publications and a strong
commitment to excellence in teaching. Successful candidates are expected to develop a vibrant
research program supported by extramural funding, to display excellence in teaching at the
graduate and undergraduate levels and promote a diverse and inclusive environment in the
department.
The Department and College
With 50 full-time faculty, 350 PhD students, and over 300 outstanding undergraduates, Purdue’s
highly ranked chemistry department is one of the largest and most diverse in the country. The
wide-ranging expertise of the faculty enables fast and effective responses to interdisciplinary
