Job Description:

The Department of Government at Sacred Heart University invites applications for a tenure-track position of Assistant Professor of Political Science to begin in the Fall Semester, 2022.  Expertise in the area of comparative politics, global studies, and ideally with specialization in contemporary Asian politics, is required. Candidates are expected to be excellent classroom instructors with an active research agenda. Student advising, mentoring, and thesis supervision related to the political science and global studies majors are important components of this position. The initial teaching load is 4/3.


Requirements:

  • A Ph.D. or near completion in political science is required. 
  • Expertise in the area of comparative politics, global studies, and ideally with specialization in contemporary Asian politics, is required.
  • Candidates are expected to be excellent classroom instructors with an active research agenda.
