    Department Summary
    The University of Oregon Intercollegiate Athletic Department's primary purpose is to provide a unique opportunity for student-athletes to be developed, tested, and encouraged to reach their maximum potential in every aspect of their lives. The department has approximately 250 administrative & classified employees and hosts over 600,000 spectators annually and represents the University of Oregon in athletic competition with other universities & colleges.

    Position Summary
    This position will work at the Football Operations building. The football operations building is a 145,000 square foot facility dedicated to the University of Oregon football program, located on Martin Luther King Blvd. in Eugene Oregon. This position will work a flexible schedule based on the needs of football operations activities and events which will include nights and weekends. Our mission is to effect timely maintenance, repair, improvement, renovation, cleaning, and upkeep of our buildings, building systems, utilities, and equipment.

    Minimum Requirements
  • One year of general maintenance performing semi-skilled maintenance tasks or other related experience.

    Professional Competencies
  • Ability to work on ladders, lifts, and scaffolding.
  • Ability to use hand and power tools and equipment.
  • Documented history of following complex directions from supervisor.
  • Ability to interface and work effectively in a team environment with co-workers, customers, vendors, and university staff, focusing on customer service.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to communicate effectively to customers or employees of the organization.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds and cultures.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
  • Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

    Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in custodial duties.
  • Prior experience in an arena and/or sports facility setting
