The College of Education & Human Development is seeking to hire a highly motivated and talented Postdoctoral Research Associate (AC) for a full-time Postdoctoral Scholar position in the area of positive psychology. This position is for one year, but funding has been secured and may be renewable, depending on performance.

WHAT WILL YOU DO:

The Postdoctoral Research Associate (AC) will work closely with Dr. Don Davis to perform the research activities of grant-funded projects in positive psychology. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic and collaborative research environment and connect with a wider network of scholars conducting research on positive psychology. The position is in-person and begins August 1, 2025 or sooner.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
  • Conduct empirical research on intellectual positive psychology, including designing and executing studies.
  • Assist in ongoing research activities on our grant-funded projects.
  • Analyze data using statistical methods analysis software.
  • Collaborate with faculty and other researchers on related projects.
  • Write up papers from new and existing datasets.
  • Publish research findings in peer-reviewed journals and present at conferences.
  • Assist in grant writing and reporting activities.
  • Mentor undergraduate students involved in research projects.
Qualifications :

Minimum Requirements:
  • Ph.D. in related field required.
Preferred Requirements:
  • Strong background in research methods and statistics
  • Demonstrated interest and expertise in humility or related areas such as virtues, positive psychology, or psychology of religion/spirituality.
  • Track record of publications in peer-reviewed journals.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Prior experience with grant writing or research project management is desirable but not required.
