The Marketing Coordinator for the Office of Online Learning plays a crucial role in supporting and executing marketing initiatives that enhance awareness and enrollment in MSU Denver’s online and hybrid programs. Reporting to the Marketing & Communications Manager, the Marketing Coordinator will assist in digital marketing, content creation, social media management, and website updates, ensuring alignment with MSU Denver’s brand identity and marketing strategy.
Job Responsibilities
Digital Marketing & Content Creation (40%)
Under Colorado law, MSU Denver is required to provide a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role and should not offer a salary outside of the range posted in this job announcement. This range takes into account a variety of factors including but not limited to experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, analysis of internal equity, and other business and organizational needs. It is not typical for an individual to be offered a salary at or near the top of the range for a position. Salary offers are determined based on final candidate qualifications and experience.
The salary range that the University reasonably expects to pay for this position is $45,300 - $56,700. The full salary range is $45,300 - $68,000.
This position is paid monthly and is eligible for MSU Denver benefits.

Online Learning
The Marketing Coordinator for the Office of Online Learning plays a crucial role in supporting and executing marketing initiatives that enhance awareness and enrollment in MSU Denver’s online and hybrid programs. Reporting to the Marketing & Communications Manager, the Marketing Coordinator will assist in digital marketing, content creation, social media management, and website updates, ensuring alignment with MSU Denver’s brand identity and marketing strategy.
Job Responsibilities
Digital Marketing & Content Creation (40%)
- Assist in the development and execution of digital marketing campaigns across email, web, and social media platforms.
- Support content development for blog posts, email campaigns, and program promotions.
- Utilize generative AI tools to assist with content creation, including text, images, and video.
- Monitor engagement metrics and provide insights to optimize content performance.
- Update and maintain online program pages using WordPress and other content management systems.
- Regularly audit website content for accuracy, accessibility, and usability.
- Assist in website design updates and landing page optimizations to improve user experience.
- Collaborate with the Marketing & Communications Manager, academic departments, and other MSU Denver units to implement digital improvements relevant to Online Learning.
- Support the execution of social media strategies, including content scheduling, community engagement, and campaign tracking.
- Assist in the creation of graphics, videos, and multimedia content using tools like Adobe Creative Suite.
- Ensure content aligns with brand guidelines and accessibility standards.
- Work closely with the Office of Online Learning team to ensure marketing efforts align with broader online learning initiatives and university-wide messaging.
- Coordinate with academic departments, Student Affairs, and other campus units to develop and distribute marketing materials tailored to program-specific goals.
- Support event marketing efforts and stakeholder communications to increase engagement with online and hybrid programs.
- Contribute to the management of editorial calendars, ensuring cohesive storytelling across platforms.
- Other duties as assigned to support MSU Denver’s online learning initiatives.
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Experience with content management systems (CMS), such as WordPress.
- Basic understanding of SEO, email marketing, and digital marketing principles.
- Proficiency in Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Premiere, and AfterEffects.
- Experience in social media management and content creation.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with attention to brand consistency.
- Experience with higher education marketing or student engagement initiatives.
- Familiarity with CRM platforms (e.g., Salesforce) and analytics tools (Google Analytics, Power BI, Looker Studio).
- Knowledge of web accessibility standards and ADA compliance.
- Experience with AI-driven content creation and automation tools.
- Strong project management and organizational skills.
