Description
Serve as an on-field coach and provide game preparation guidance for the Women's Soccer Team.
Evaluate and recruit student athletes.
Perform administrative duties of the Women's Soccer Team.
Examples of Duties
60% - Serve as an on-field coach and provide game preparation guidance, to include creating and executing the strength and conditioning program for the Women’s Soccer Team based on the Soccer season schedule, including weight agility, plyometrics, and cardiovascular endurance programs as assigned by the Head Coach.
25% - Evaluate and recruit student athletes, to include:
- Attend games and tournaments to identify potential student
athletes, assess skills, provide information about the University,
etc.
- Correspond with and meet personally with coaches, counselors,
and teachers, to include: mailings, home visits, campus visits, and
follow-up meetings with potential student athletes to assess
skills, provide information about the University, etc.
- Maintain a record of recruitment efforts.
- Collaborate with the Assistant Athletic Director to ensure the
availability of field and gym space for pre-season, season, and
off-season practices and games.
- In collaboration with the Assistant Athletic Director,
coordinate summer camps, including residence hall and dining hall
facility needs.
- In collaboration with the Assistant Athletic Director,
coordinate facilities and scheduling of alumni games, Soccer
tournaments, family night, senior night, and other philanthropic
events throughout the year.
- Supervise student employee performing administrative assistant
duties.
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Physical Education, Exercise Psychology, or related field required.
Experience:
- Two (2) years experience coaching at the high school and/or
college level; college level preferred.
- Experience as a college athlete preferred.
- Experience coordinating athletic events and facility needs
preferred.
Physical/Environmental Factors:
- Lifting (weight) - 20 lbs
Special Instructions:
