Position Summary:
The MSW Field Coordinator will assist the Director of Field Education in the overall management of the internship program to ensure CSWE standards and departmental policies are upheld through all internship activities. The MSW Field coordinator will also serve as a faculty liaison, teaching up to one field course per semester. The primary role of the MSW Field Coordinator will be to assist students in the overall placement process. The MSW Field Coordinator will be assigned to specific cohorts of students as they are admitted to the MSW program to promote a successful internship journey from placement to graduation.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Initiate contact with newly admitted students to provide detailed instructions to begin the field application process
- Schedule virtual one-on-one meetings with students as needed to assist in developing their internship plan, providing helpful hints in locating internships, and creating an environment to provide overall support in the internship process
- Assist in managing the software program, Tevera, by adding individual students to their correct cohort, monitor and amend any needed adjustments triggered by a degree plan change, and communicate the impact of these changes with the student
- Monitor each student’s progress in completing the field application documents in Tevera as well as further steps needed in securing the internship, and communication with their field site
- Screen potential field supervisors and agencies to include verification of field supervisor credentials and the availability of internship activities to meet program requirements
- Initiate the affiliation agreement with the agency and assist in monitoring compliance
- Notify student of official placement approval, assignment of field class, and provide instructions for the next steps in beginning their internships
- Monitor student internship hours in Tevera and assist in trouble shooting any needs related to time tracks and supervisor approval
- Provide consultation as needed to students and field supervisors especially in the area of competency attainment and problem resolution for a successful internships
- Assist in managing internship disruptions and the assessment of re-assignment possibilities when terminations emerge
- Assist in obtaining assessment data at the conclusion of the internships

Minimum Qualifications:
Must have a Masters of Social Work Degree (MSW) from a CSWE Accredited Program
