Position Title Physics Full Time Faculty Position Summary
California Baptist University invites applications for a full-time tenure track faculty position in Physics beginning January 3, 2022.

The appointment includes teaching lower-division physics courses for science and engineering majors, and general education (non-calculus based) students, with the possibility of upper-division courses to support the physics minor. Other duties include recruiting and advising undergraduate physics minors, engaging with undergraduate and graduate students in the MS in Applied Mathematics program in original research, participation in departmental program assessment, and participation in other service to the University and department. Candidates must embrace the mission of California Baptist University, and evidence a clear understanding of, and commitment to, excellence in teaching through the integration of Christian faith with learning.

Qualifications
Preference will be given to candidates who have completed a Ph.D. in Physics by December 2021 and have prior teaching experience. Candidates who have a master’s degree and are pursuing a Ph.D. in Physics or who have completed a Ph.D. in a related field with a strong background in Physics will also be considered. Teaching Responsibilities
Teach lower-division courses for STEM majors and general education, upper-division courses for physics minors, and research courses for undergraduates and graduates within the department. Nondiscrimination Statement
