Compensation: The starting annual base salary range for this position is $62,630- $65,000.

Position Summary and Responsibilities
Reporting to the Associate Vice President of Advancement Services, the Advancement Data Manager works with development staff and others across the organization to support multi-channel fundraising, stewardship, event and marketing campaigns. This position supervises data maintenance and maintains entry standards, runs reports and provides analysis. The Data Manager will develop policies and procedures for donor and prospect data management and integrity.
Responsibilities
- Manage data entry and data gathering documentation to ensure that Advancement Services policies shift and change with business needs.
- Process imports needed to ensure that data from other administrative systems is loaded into advancement CRMs.
- Work with the Associate Vice President to identify data gaps in Advancement’s CRM and meet with the appropriate campus colleagues to gain access to that data. Manage the resulting documentation of data processing or importing.
- Review current data and workflow processes to identify efficiencies in the entry process.
- Manage any projects related to data, data flows, and data entry efficiencies.
- Assist Advancement Systems and Reporting with various projects, queries, and business requirements gathering as needed.
- Provide training on data entry and standards when appropriate.
- Execute complex queries and prepare reports producing routine system outputs and create pledge pages and registration forms online.
- Some weekend and evening hours should be expected based on departmental events.
- Perform additional tasks to support the needs of the department.
Qualifications
Required knowledge, skills and abilities
- Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of one year of relevant experience or any combination of education and experience.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Office suites.
- Excellent written and verbal communication and customer service skills.
- Technical aptitude, forward-thinking curiosity, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to exercise sound judgment, manage time effectively, prioritize, and multitask.
- Demonstrate initiative as a team member to achieve high performance goals and meet deadlines.
- A firm understanding of fundraising data and business processes.
- Proficiency in social media platforms.
- Proven track record of managing data and CRM systems in a fundraising or related setting.
- Ability to learn new systems quickly.
