The Goizueta Business School of Emory University invites applicants for a full-time faculty position (at the rank of Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Full Professor) starting January 2026 for Business Communications Strategy (BUS 365).  We will also consider those who can start in September 2026. BUS 365 is a required course for all business school undergraduates and enables students to analyze their audiences, structure their thoughts logically, write clearly, persuade with data, and demonstrate competence and confidence. 

This teaching faculty position is based in Atlanta, GA at the Emory University campus. The faculty member will engage classes of 40+ students for 14 weeks each semester (Spring, Fall), for a total of 6 classes annually. Additionally, faculty hold weekly office hours in which they provide individual, direct, and productive feedback.

 Applicants must possess a graduate degree in a relevant field such as management, business, communication, law, or rhetoric. Additionally, applicants need the ability to create a safe learning environment for students to practice, discuss, debate, and improve.

Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis until April 30, 2025.

Students master communication strategy and execution through interactive and experiential exercises. Therefore, successful applicants will have experience in crafting and leading an iterative learning environment. This faculty member possesses experience to lead classes of 40+ students through a 14-week learning journey with graded writing assignments, structured feedback, individual and team presentations.

Successful candidates may have disparate backgrounds – academia, learning & development, management consulting, or business development. Candidates with a demonstrated track record of teaching/training are encouraged to apply. As a practice track faculty position, this role requires the ability to demonstrate a student-centered and adaptive teaching philosophy that engages and motivates students. Business knowledge and experience are required; Business Communication Strategy makes connections among other core classes to enhance student critical thinking and integration of fundamental business concepts. In both writing and presenting, BUS 365 enables students to communicate in an authentic and individual way.

In addition to teaching, the applicant should have the desire and ability to participate in communication-related student support services in writing and presentation coaching.  Regular service to the Goizueta community through committee work and/or school and university initiatives is a requirement, consistent with expectations for all Goizueta full-time faculty.
