Position Description

Performs advanced, specialized work to assist in the organization and implementation of various projects. Supports laboratory research by maintaining, repairing or refurbishing commonly used laboratory equipment; creatively designing or adapting equipment to meet specific needs. Maintain accurate inventory records. Perform laboratory safety officer functions. Works on special projects as assigned. Work is performed under minimal supervision within established policies with latitude for independent judgment.

Pay Grade Maximum

Compensation is commensurate upon the qualifications of the individual selected and budgetary guidelines of the hiring department, as well as, the institutional pay plan.

Major/Essential Functions
  • Completion of repairs within allotted timeframe.
  • Completion of preventive maintenance for medical equipment based on PM schedule region wide.
  • Completion of moving designated equipment or items as needed.
  • Travel throughout sector to complete service repair or preventive maintenance as needed or scheduled.
  • Designated projects will be assigned and completed as scheduled.
  • All other duties requested will be completed as assigned and scheduled.
