ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Produce and acquire content.
  • Extensive videography experience.
  • Brainstorm and develop video concepts in cooperation with existing Champion Center technology .
  • Plan, organize, and administratively oversee video production shoots.
  • Edit content to conform to quality standards and time requirements
  • Conduct on-camera interviews.
  • Arrange field lighting.
  • Manage and organize video production equipment to maintain an efficient, orderly production environment
  • Ensures proper functioning of all equipment, providing basic troubleshooting and maintenance as needed.
  • Occasionally required to make editorial decisions.
  • Plans and performs video post-production tasks.
  • Obtains approval from all individuals involved in each project on drafts and final proofs.
  • Remains abreast of existing and emerging technologies, processes, products, services and leading industry performance benchmarks.
  • Strictly adheres to Liberty University policies, representing the University in an exemplary manner.
  • Works effectively as a team member, embracing and fostering LU’s Christian model and Mission – Training Champions for Christ.
  • Work nights and weekends; travel as assigned.
  • Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS AND CREDENTIALS Education and Experience
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
  • 5+ years in a related field.
  • Demo reel of recent relevant work must be submitted to be interviewed for the position.
  • roficient in Adobe Creative Suite. Knowledge of DaVinci Resolve is preferred.

  • Working knowledge of pre-production, production, and post-production practices.
  • Working familiarity with both academic and professional media environments.
  • Excellent oral, written, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work with conflicting, delayed, ambiguous, or last-minute information.
  • Ability to work independently and within a team.

  • Intuitively able to reason, analyze information and events, and apply judgment to solve problems of both a routine and complex nature.
Physical and Sensory Abilities
  • Occasionally required to travel to local and campus locations.
  • Frequently required to sit for extended periods to perform desk work or type on a keyboard.
  • Fine motor skills and dexterity are essential to operate editing equipment.
  • Regularly required to hear and discern sounds and speak to communicate orally effectively.
  • Regularly required to see and discern colors to install, visually inspect, and maintain equipment.
  • Standing, walking, and climbing stairs are frequently required to move about the building.
  • Handle materials, reach overhead, kneel or stoop to conduct business.
  • Regularly lift 20 or fewer pounds.
WORKING CONDITIONS Work Environment

The working environment in which one will typically perform the essential functions of this position is frequently changing. Functions of this position’s responsibility often require one to work after normal business hours and sometimes for long shifts. Some projects are completed in a climate-controlled office setting, and other projects on a regular basis are outdoors, in some situations, rain must be accommodated. Work from home may be encouraged or required at times.

Driving Requirements

Use of one’s personal vehicle (or LU vehicles) is required for travel in the performance of the essential functions of this position. Proof of a valid Virginia driver’s license, an acceptable DMV record, and liability insurance is required.
