The Alabama Cooperative Extension System is seeking a Digital Marketing Specialist, this position is located on the campus of Auburn University.
The Alabama Cooperative Extension System is seeking Digital Marketing Specialist to play a key role in advancing the mission of Alabama Cooperative Extension System ( ACES ) by creating and managing digital marketing strategies that increase awareness, engagement, and impact. This individual will develop innovative campaigns, manage social media, analyze performance metrics, and collaborate with internal teams to promote ACES programs, resources, and initiatives across the state of Alabama.
EXTENSION : The Alabama Cooperative Extension System is the outreach organization for the land grant mission of Alabama A&M University and Auburn University. Its educational programs grow from these two land grant university campuses to serve the people of Alabama. Science-based educational programs are delivered that enable people to improve their quality of life and economic well-being. Essential Functions
- Lead, develop, and implement digital marketing campaigns to promote ACES programs and initiatives, ensuring alignment with organizational mission and goals, as well as organizational brand cohesiveness.
- Manage digital advertising efforts and paid media campaigns, including display ads, digital billboards, Google AdWords, YouTube, and more.
- Manage content creation for social media platforms and email marketing.
- Optimize ACES digital presence through SEO, paid advertising, and strategic use of analytics tools.
- Track, analyze, and report on key performance metrics to evaluate the effectiveness of digital marketing efforts and inform decision-making.
- Leverage Salesforce tools to support distributed marketing efforts, enabling program teams and county offices to execute localized campaigns.
- Collaborate with program teams and county offices to provide tailored marketing support and ensure consistent messaging.
- Train staff on digital marketing tools, platforms, and best practices to enhance overall capacity.
- Stay informed on emerging digital trends and tools to continuously improve marketing strategies and outreach.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Communication, Marketing, Data Management, or related field and 5 years of experience in marketing and communications services.
Minimum Skills, License, and Certifications
Minimum Skills and Abilities
- Experience effectively managing social media platforms such as Facebook, X, Instagram, and LinkedIn.
- Proficiency in digital marketing tools, such as Sprout Social and Google Analytics.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience with graphic design and video editing software (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite) is a plus.
- Knowledge of SEO, SEM, and digital advertising strategies.
