Research and Creative Activity Peer Mentors in Training are undergraduate and graduate students who are interested in learning more about and working on research and/or creative activity projects under the direction of a faculty member and with an RCA peer mentor.
Duties and Responsibilities:
· Work with faculty and RCA peer mentor on a research/creative activity project outside of a course
· Clock in and out when working (20 hours per week maximum inclusive of all AUM positions).
· Commit to present work at a future Research and Creative Activity event.
· Model appropriate behavior and maintain confidentiality ( FERPA, Title IX).
· Keep communication open with professor and mentor.
· Complete assessments or surveys as requested.
· Complete training and attend all scheduled meetings.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
· Dedicated to learning about research and/or creative activity projects.
· Dedicated to helping others succeed
· Confident in your ability to lead
· Comfortable leading group discussions
Qualifications and Requirements
· Undergraduate students may apply.
· Have a minimum 2.5 GPA .

· Statement of approved research/creative activity with faculty (500 words or less)
· Upon completion of the project, be willing to serve as an RCA peer mentor.
· Present research and/or creative activity project at a future event.
