Salary Range: Up to $34,600 annualized, commensurate with education, experience and qualifications.
Hours: up to 40 hours per week, non-exempt.

Essential Functions
Job Summary
Provide skills in the receipt, disbursement, and recording of funds for university accounts and provide excellent service to the University community. Responsible for receiving, disbursing and properly crediting funds to fiscal accounts and for answering questions and researching issues concerning policies, procedures, and fiscal services.
Core Responsibilities
- Provides in-person service to customers (students and department staff) regarding student, staff, and departmental accounts.
- Provides over the phone service to customers who call into the Fiscal Services phone queue.
- Typical services to students and University staff includes; resolving issues, answering inquiries, and providing research for problems with accounts. Resolution of complex issues may include collaborating with other departments within the University.
- Receives and verifies cash, checks, and credit card payments. Prepares payment receipts. Credits payments to proper accounts in student information system.
- Processes deposits for university departments and organizations.
- Processes various departmental forms for staff including but not limited to; petty cash reimbursement, travel reimbursement and team travel funds.
- Processes and files forms for students, including check stop payments, tuition assistance and exemptions, tuition installment plans and various other forms.
- Prepares cashier window for opening; secures cash and checks; prepares bills for collection; disburses payroll and refund checks.
- Closes cashier window at end of shift; balances cash drawer, prepares currency and coins; endorses checks; completes deposit slips.
- Responsible for providing responses, in a timely manner, to emails received in the Fiscal Services inbox.
- Assists with special projects as needed.
- Recommends process and workflow improvements to improve office efficiency.
- Takes a proactive approach to assist co-workers in various tasks, to ensure highest standards of customer service.
- Performs work tasks in a safe manner and following work instructions.
Required Qualifications
- Associate's degree or 60 completed college hours from an
accredited institution.
- Experience may substitute for education on a year-for-year basis.
- Three (3) years of customer service and/or clerical experience with at least two (2) years of cash handling experience in a large volume operation.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated knowledge of Microsoft Office software.
- Standard office equipment.

Working Conditions
- Office environment.
- Ability to travel to and from meetings, training sessions, or other business-related events.
- Occasional after-hours and weekend work or overtime may be required.
- May require overtime and/or extended hours during peak times of the year.
Physical Demands:
- Sedentary work; sitting most of the time. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required, only occasionally.
- Exerts up to 10 lbs. of force occasionally.
This position will be primarily located on campus. Travel and parking expenses are the employee's responsibility.
