Description


Curry Health Center is seeking an Intermittent Patient Support Specialist (PSS) to provide on-call coverage across all departments, including Counseling, Dental, Medical, Wellbeing, and SARC. This role is essential in ensuring seamless front-office operations by handling reception and administrative tasks such as greeting patients, scheduling appointments, processing patient information, managing reception windows, directing calls, and placing/releasing health holds for incoming students.

The ideal candidate must excel in multitasking, demonstrate strong interpersonal communication skills, and work effectively in a team environment with a diverse range of individuals.

  • Minimum Qualifications


  • High school diploma and one (1) year of experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Knowledge of Curry Health Center's general operations and familiarity with at least two (2) clinic departments
  • Ability to provide exceptional customer service in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong oral and written communication skills when engaging with a diverse patient population regarding appointment scheduling, available services, and patient flow
  • Understanding of patient privacy and confidentiality in accordance with State, Federal, and HIPAA regulations
  • Proficiency in computer applications such as Slate, BANNER, and electronic medical records (EMR) systems (Medicat and Dentrix)
  • Ability to manage electronic transactions, schedule appointments, update provider schedules, generate EMR notes, and process patient messages and prescription refill requests
  • Skill in processing new and returning student Medical Requirements Forms per University of Montana and Montana state laws
  • Flexibility to work across multiple department reception positions as needed

    Preferred Qualifications
  • Degree in Medical Information Technology from an accredited university or college
  • Experience working as a receptionist in any setting
  • Proven ability to deliver outstanding customer service
  • Previous experience in any of Curry Health Center's departmental reception roles

    Position Number: 180060
    Compensation Title: Administrative Associate III

    Work Schedule: Part-time, 0.2 FTE, on-call basis, schedule varies.

    Probationary Period: Six (6) months minimum
