Position Summary:

The Center for Human Genomics and Precision Medicine (CHGPM) at the School of Medicine and Public Health, focuses its research and clinical activities in applied genomics and personalized medicine which encompasses basic, translational, and clinical research.

This position develops, designs, and conducts one or more research projects and organizes daily operation of projects and specialized research areas to ensure work meets established objectives under moderate supervision.

Degree and Area of Specialization:

Bachelor's degree required.

Minimum Years and Type of Relevant Work Experience:

Required:
- At least three years of professional laboratory research experience (at least 5 years if including undergraduate research).

Preferred:
- Research lab experience in cellular and molecular biology or related field
- Experience with basic laboratory procedures such as one or more of: molecular cloning, cell biology/culture, microscopy, transfection, preparation of next-generation sequencing libraries

Additional Information:

The School of Medicine and Public Health will not sponsor work visas for this position, thus, in compliance with federal law, all persons hired will be required to verify eligibility to work in the United States by completing the required I-9 form upon hire.
