About the Role

As the Assistant Vice Chancellor for Student Development, you will be pivotal in guiding the college’s student affairs division. You will lead enrollment management, student services, and enhancement programs, ensuring a seamless and equitable experience for all students. Your leadership will directly impact student success, retention, and engagement, aligning with BRCC’s mission to empower students and transform communities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement innovative programs to enhance student services, enrollment management, and student development.
  • Student-Centered Excellence: Oversee initiatives that focus on student recruitment, retention, and success, including admissions, counseling, financial aid, and student advocacy.
  • Collaborative Partnerships: Cultivate relationships with public and private entities to create opportunities for students and advance the college’s mission.
  • Data-Driven Decisions: Analyze enrollment and retention data to inform strategies and ensure alignment with institutional goals.
  • Operational Oversight: Manage budgets, monitor performance, and ensure compliance with accreditation and policy requirements.
What You Bring Required Education & Experience
  • Master’s degree in a relevant academic program (PhD preferred).
  • 3+ years of progressive leadership experience in student development at a college or university (5 years of leadership experience may substitute for a master’s degree).
Skills & Expertise
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Experience developing and managing student services programs focusing on successful student outcomes.
  • Knowledge of innovative technology solutions to enhance student engagement and operational efficiency.
