Position Overview
Primary Purpose of the Position
The Department of Chemistry is seeking candidates for temporary adjunct positions starting for the 2024-25 academic year. Candidates should possess a master’s degree or higher in Chemistry or a closely related field. Candidates should be able to successfully teach undergraduate level Analytical and/or General Chemistry lecture and lab courses in an in-person mode.

- Masters degree or higher in Chemistry, Physics or a related field.
- One year or more of successful teaching experience.

- Successfully foster and support an inclusive educational environment.

Department Required Skills
- The ability to teach three (3) lecture hours per work in person and (1) lab hour.
- Must be able to use and work from a course syllabus and maintain grades and record keeping using a Learning Management System (Canvas).
- Should be proficient in technologies and teaching with various tools such as projectors, laser pointers, lab equipment, and presentation software.
- Three years or more of successful teaching analytical and/or general chemistry courses at the college level.
- Effective classroom management, correspondence with students, faculty, staff and administration.
- A dedication to providing a positive high-quality learning environment is essential.
- Experience using Banner and Canvas systems.
