Job Summary

The University of Colorado Boulder's Leeds School of Business encourages applications for a Student and Recent Alumni Engagement/Philanthropy Coordinator! This is a 2-year term appointment and oversees Leeds Alumni initiatives that increase alumni engagement and annual giving through scalable, recent alumni-based programs that use the power of technology to expand our national footprint. Interaction with alumni and friends will focus on both in person and virtual engagement opportunities to expand the reach of Leeds Alumni to a wider audience.

What Your Key Responsibilities Will Be

The responsibilities of the Student and Recent Alumni Engagement portion of the role also include:

Supervising the direction and activities of Leeds Alumni Engagement recent alumni program including things like:
  • The GOLD (Graduated of the Last Decade) Board and their volunteer leadership. Responsibilities include identifying, recruiting, and training volunteer leadership as well as managing, reporting, and evaluating activities of the Board.
  • Events like Welcome to the City, Global Networking Night and Senior Celebration.
  • Partnership with Student Government to align philanthropic opportunities.
  • Affinity Group Relationships (DSP; Leeds Scholars).
  • Strategic touchpoints throughout the undergrad and 1st year as alumni.
  • Improve the student to alumni transition with a focus on growing retention of recent graduate engagement and philanthropy.
  • Collaborate with Leeds entities and Leeds partners to help promote and host strategic engagement events and support recent alumni programming.
  • Utilize Leeds Advancement's constituent database to record, track and measure all recent alumni engagement activities to positively impact alumni participation performance metrics.

The responsibilities of the Student and Recent Alumni Annual Giving portion of the role includes:
  • Recent Alumni Giving Week (support).
  • Reimagined Senior Class Gift Campaign (lead).
  • Creating/Executing a Thank a Donor Week (lead).
  • Work with the leadership of the Leeds Alumni Engagement and Annual Giving department to develop and execute goals that increase alumni engagement and philanthropy. Expand recent alumni participation through scalable programmatic initiatives and offerings that drive engagement and lead to philanthropy.
  • Collaborate with the Annual Giving team for young alumni solicitation to focus on growing recent alumni participation.

This is a two-year appointment.

This is a two-year appointment. Leeds School of Business is also hiring a Discovery Officer/Donor Relations Coordinator. The Discovery role is very similar to the student/recent alumni role but focuses on building relationships with our donors and early discover work. What We Can Offer

The salary range is $45,000- $50,000 annually. Relocation is available for qualified applicants.

What We Require
  • A bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Some experience or knowledge of alumni engagement, fundraising or equivalent sales, account management, client services, or other related experience.

What We Would Like You To Have
  • Experience working with a large, sophisticated organization.
  • Experience in customer service, sales, fundraising, and/or managing volunteer and affiliate populations.
  • Graduate of CU Boulder.
