This is a full-time benefits eligible position.   1. Maintains a subset of managing international admissions, acceptance, and denial for all student-types. Includes managing student records in the following systems: Slate CRM, Banner, and Argos; Responsible for reviewing and authenticating the following: transcripts, English proficiency exams, creating initial I-20s, and admissions packets.
  2. Maintains a subset of evaluating international transcripts, uploading documents to applications, assists with reports, processing transcripts, application fees/refunds, and student Information requests.
  3. Maintains a subset of F-1 international student document processing. Updates student information held in the federal government database ( SEVIS ) and determines student eligibility for new and updated I-20 documents for a variety of status maintenance issues.

Bachelor’s degree in College Student Personnel Administration, Higher Education Administration, International Studies, Personnel Management, or any related field required.

Master’s degree preferred. Computer Skills Word-Processing, Spreadsheet, Presentation, Other - Database management Experience
  • Experience providing administrative or student support in areas such as developing procedures, program planning, and implementation, and/or coordination of efforts between various entities.
  • Experience providing services for people of diverse cultural backgrounds preferred.
  • Preferred experience in international affairs.
  • Knowledge of immigration regulations is preferred.
  • Current or prior DSO status preferred.

Must be U.S. Citizen or Lawful Permanent Resident to meet federal regulatory requirements for professional practice as a Designated School Official (F-1) or Alternate Responsible Official (J-1). Special Skills, Abilities, and Knowledge: Attention to detail, Communication skills, including oral, written, and/or nonverbal, Knowledge of a University environment preferred, Human Relations/Interpersonal skills, Leadership skills: organization/meeting facilitation/project leadership, Supervisory skills, including motivation, delegation of duties, evaluation, etc, Management and/or administration skills, Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects and meet deadlines, Maintain confidentiality Other Special Skills, Abilities, and Knowledge
Experience working on a team and team leadership.

Ability to serve as a resource for international students, including the ability to diplomatically advise international students regarding legal, cultural, academic, and personal concerns.

Ability to research, identify, and create programs and services to enhance the University experience for students.
