GENERAL STATEMENT OF RESPONSIBILITIES:
Our instructors/trainers are experienced educators with in-depth knowledge in their subject matter field, deeply committed to providing exceptional student support and exhibiting strong organizational and communication skills. CCAPE's clients/students trust our instructors/trainers with sensitive information, and our instructors/trainers have the highest level of integrity in all interactions, including respecting client organizational cultures and climates. Our training programs and course opportunities are contract-based and/or subject to enrollment.
The Corporate Instructor/Trainer will lead and teach a customized Advanced Aircraft Engine Mechanic's Course for a private company who is a client of the Center for Community and Professional Education (CCAPE) at Cape Cod Community College. This position requires providing classroom and laboratory instruction onsite at the client location north of Boston. The course is a total of 96 instruction hours and will consist of 24, 4-hour onsite sessions (2 sessions per week). Expected course start date is mid to end of March 2025 (length of program approximately 12-16 weeks). A co-teaching model is welcome, and one or more instructors may be sought for this position.

COMPENSATION : $75/hour for instruction dependent upon qualifications, teaching experience and field experience. An additional (one-time) $1,600 stipend is available for curriculum preparation, updates, and required staff and client meetings. Part-time, up to 18 hours per week, non-benefited, non-unit position.

Requirements:
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS :
- Current FAA Airframe & Powerplant Certification.
- Three years of relevant work experience in an aviation maintenance capacity, with a focus on advanced aircraft engine systems and diagnostics.
- Demonstrated presentation skills in the classroom, including the integration of computer-based aviation software program(s) and hands-on technical demonstrations.
- Proven commitment to professional development and evidence of staying current in the fields of aviation technology, industry standards, and instructional best practices.
- Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet the diverse needs and interests of adult learners in a fast-paced, workplace-based instructional environment.
- Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills, with a collaborative approach to engaging students, employer clients, and internal college teams.
- Flexibility to work varying hours to accommodate employer client schedules and course requirements, while managing multiple and competing priorities effectively.
- Knowledge of instructional theory and pedagogical best practices, with a focus on hands-on, applied learning in technical education.
