ABOUT THIS POSITION
The educational program specialist is a contributing member of the workforce development team. The position will initially serve as the lead trainer and coach for Georgia Wraparound providers and community partners. The educational program specialist will also facilitate various behavioral health centered trainings to enhance service delivery for children, young adults, and families across Georgia.
HERE IS WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Designs and facilitates scheduled trainings relevant to the behavioral health workforce.
- Develop program curriculums related to project principles and training.
- Develops training evaluations and uses feedback for improvement.
- Manages care coordination certification program.
- Develop plans, and implement programs related to system of care trends.
- Identifies and liaises with stakeholders to support program fidelity.
- Oversee the effectiveness of workforce development programs.
- Serves as subject matter expert for mental health hospital systems, state agencies, and service providers.
- Facilitate data for decision-making and sense-making sessions with stakeholders.
- Participate in strategic meeting design and facilitation for clients and collaborative workgroups.
- Assists senior staff in identifying and responding to new research and funding opportunities.
- Implements evidence-based and best-practice technical assistance and bringing new methods and modes into the technical assistance work.
- Attend meetings and represent the GHPC at conferences and national meetings.
- Provides guidance to community partners and community service providers.
- Leads the work force development team and assigns work related to master training schedule.

Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree and two years of related experience; or a combination of education and related experience.
- Knowledge and experience in mental health, facilitation, working with stakeholder groups, meeting design, strong writing and communication skills.
- Proficiency in MS Word, Outlook, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint.
- Minimum of two years’ experience as a High-Fidelity Wraparound practitioner or administrator.
- Certification in mental health awareness curriculums (i.e. Trauma Informed Care, Mental Health First Aid, etc.).
- Experience in leading, coaching or training is preferred.
- Candidates should demonstrate process, management and administrative ability.
- Knowledge and experience developing curriculums is a plus.
- The candidate must be highly organized and able to work independently.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills are preferred.
