Job Description

The College of Education & Human Development is seeking an Educational Programming Coordinator to develop, facilitate, and evaluate programming as well as provide administrative leadership for The Bridge. The Bridge is a dedicated space in the College for students, faculty, and staff to develop and expand their multicultural knowledge, awareness, and skills. The ideal candidate would possess strong skills in public speaking, facilitation, data collection and analysis, event coordination, collaboration, and discretion and sound judgement. The individual in this position reports to the Director of Recruitment & College Engagement.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, coordinate, implement, and evaluate programming that expands the knowledge, awareness, and skills of students, staff, and faculty
• Serve as lead on the routine and daily functions of The Bridge (e.g., scheduling, staffing, attendance tracking)
• Supervise student staff in The Bridge
• Advise the Student Advisory Committee for The Bridge
• Provide leadership development opportunities for students in collaboration with others in the Office of Recruitment & College Engagement
• Collect data, maintain records, and compile reports to facilitate continuous improvement efforts
• Participate in and perform other job-related functions such as attending office meetings, developing newsletters, and assisting with special events
• Collaborate with staff, faculty, and community stakeholders
• Support the overall team of the Office of Recruitment & College Engagement as needed, particularly in recruitment and retention efforts.
• Serve in a liaison capacity to represent the office as specified by the director
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Shift

Monday through Friday
8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
With occasional night and weekends.

Minimum Qualifications

A Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience and at least 2 years of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary.

Preferred Qualifications

The preferred candidate will have:

• A Master’s degree in Education, Counseling, Social Work, or related field.
• 2 years of related experience post-Master’s degree.
• Experience with educational programming in a higher education setting.
• Proficiency in public speaking, facilitation, data collection and analysis, and event coordination.
• Familiarity with Outlook, Google Drive, Microsoft Office Suite, Teams, and Zoom.
• A valid Driver’s license

Anticipated Hiring Range

Salary Range: $21.30 – $24.50/hour
