Choate Rosemary Hall seeks a teacher of robotics with a start date of August 2025. In addition to teaching courses in robotics, the successful candidate will work with our Advanced Robotics Concentration program – possibly serving as Co-Director. Candidates should have academic or professional experience in several of the following areas: FIRST Robotics, CAD software, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, programming, and industrial design. Ideal candidates will have experience leading a diverse group of students within the context of a robotics team, particularly focusing on supporting students in developing skills such as team building, project management, and collaboration. Additionally, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ways in which inclusive and equitable practices inform their approach to instruction and course design.

Along with teaching robotics, candidates must be able to teach within one or more other disciplines offered at Choate either within or outside of the Mathematics and Computer Science Department. Ideal candidates are expected to have three or more years of experience.

Our faculty is deeply committed to the entire student experience; it is expected that faculty responsibilities will include a combination of student advising, residential life, and extracurricular activities. Applicants must be dynamic individuals who are passionate about their discipline, collaborative and innovative in their approach to teaching, and who embrace and support the diversity of our student body through their curriculum and pedagogy.

Choate is committed to a diverse faculty, staff, and student body. Candidates from historically excluded groups are encouraged to apply.
